I have just returned from the Apron Extravaganza in Tennessee, which is where Leigh Anne and I met. I’ll spend tomorrow downloading pictures and putting together a blog on this incredible event!

The day is always special when Noah and Gideon visit, so this Mother’s Day was extra special.

The comments for the I Made It Myself! Giveaway and the Apron Extravaganza are suggestive that we are rekindling the “ways” of the women of earlier generations, letting go of perfection and embracing the attitude that when it comes to making it ourselves, good enough is more than satisfactory. I think such a mind-set is the best present to give oneself this Mother’s Day!

Thank you to everyone who enters my giveaways. It’s always disappointing when your entry # isn’t selected. Please continue to enter, even if “…I never win anything!”…which is each winner’s response.

Here are the entry categories – I’ll need several camera batteries and a few memory chips to take photos of what I know will be an extraordinary display.

A ticket for this amazing event must be pre-purchased, so Chef Christopher knows just how many to cater to.

There’s also an Apron Mall (!) where vendors will be set up and selling apron-theme goods.

Galatin is just miles outside of Nashville. If you’re anywhere close by or feeling like flying into Nashville and experiencing two days of apron love, I’d love to experience this incredible Apron Extravaganza with you
