Just wanted to let you know that I received my Victory Apron pattern today.
I am very happy with it — especially the way it was packaged with the color photo of the pattern on the front of the envelope and copies of the original instructions.
Thanks for reproducing this pattern. It’s going to make a nice present for someone I know who’s in the military.
Thank you for your attention in getting the book mailed to me. That’s not a quality that’s around anymore. Refreshing to do business with you, and you’ll be making a complete stranger very happy.
Your time is appreciated, and thank you for including a favorite recipe and personal story. You are very kind.
I received my aprons and love them! Thank you so much for the careful, amazing way you “packaged” them, what a great surprise! You are so talented!
Jan McKinney Darrah
Oh, EllynAnne, I have tears in my eyes…I love my Apron! It’s beautiful, you are so creative! Even the packaging is a work of art.
Thanks so much! (((?)))
I just received the order. How cute!! The notecards are darling! They are so perfect for my luncheon. I can’t wait to divide them up, tie them with a bow and put them at each place setting.
Thank you for all your help and cooperation.
We loved having you in Gallatin for our Apron Extravaganza. We’re still getting glowing reviews from the event and your presentations.
In the world of aprons, there’s no such thing as too many aprons or too many friends. Thank you so much for your friendship and support. We welcome you back anytime.
Please share my name with others who inquire about hosting an Apron Memories event.
Count it all joy!

What an amazing, inspiring talk you shared with the Junior League of Denver last night! Already reaction and good reviews are pouring in to our email from the membership. We can’t thank you enough!
Sincerely, Kristen Wyatt, program chair
Your program was a fabulous and much enjoyed ending to our United Methodist Women Mother Daughter Banquet. I have not gone one day since Wednesday without someone coming by my office, sending me an email or calling to say how much they enjoyed the program. One person who had to leave after dinner has been hearing about it and is VERY regretful for having missed it.

We really are missing Apron Chronicles and all the excitement it generated at the Museum and in the community. I think I told you that I’ve worked at the Museum for 10 years, and I truly can count on one hand the exhibitions that have created their own buzz and brought eager crowds through the doors. Apron Chronicles is definitely one of those special exhibitions; I know we will be hearing how much visitors liked it for years to come. I can’t tell you how many apron stories we’ve listened to–everyone is so compelled to share their own memories. I only wish I had been adequately prepared for how successful this exhibition was going to be. I would have stocked more books, more of your notecards, more aprons from day one. We would have provided more opportunities for visitors to create and share their own apron memories–such as with workshops– and we would have planned for a closing party right from the beginning.
And probably the highlight of the exhibition was your visit for the opening and the tours and talks you gave in the following days. All those who “experienced” you were thrilled to have the opportunity. Your presence added sparkle to an already exhilarating exhibition. So many visitors from other states said how much they would love to see this exhibit come to their community–I should hope it does travel far and wide.
All the best with your myriad of projects!

You were fabulous. The customers and the staff here at Books A Million in Greensboro, NC thoroughly enjoyed your book signing. Thank you for the hilarious, educational and informative walk down memory lane. The linens you shared were beautiful. Thanks for coming to Greenup County to speak at the Northeast Area Extension Homemakers Annual Meeting.
Everyone was very pleased with your presentation and it was a joy to meet you and talk with you.

I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how much your “Apron Memories” presentation was appreciated. I don’t think I’ve laughed that much in quite a long time. Your “hit the mark” stories about the aprons brought back thoughts of my mothers aprons and the memories attached to them.
Your wit and witticisms were right on and struck a chord in every lady. Every lady I spoke with had wonderful comments about your presentation, here are a few;
“What a refreshing look at a common item” “She brought out memories I’d forgotten” “I have my mom’s aprons and now they are even more special to me” “What a funny lady, I’m buying the book”
It was a true pleasure having you for our event and hope that one day you will be able to join us again. On behalf of the Rendezvous Team, we wish all good things.
Colorado Red Hat Rendezvous
Thank you, ElllynAnne, for adding sparkle to our weekend! Your presentation was so much fun and poignant.

Yours was a most eagerly awaited program, as you could surely see by the over 100 members we had in attendance – in spite of the fact that our meeting fell on Labor Day. You are a true original Southern belle and your ability to weave a story, make people laugh, and touch their hearts is unsurpassed.
~ Laura Skinner, President

Telling your apron stories with humor and an obvious love of the subject delighted our sell-out audiences. Your presentations are not only unique but charming and lively. Apron memories will be equally mixed with memories of your visit.

At the opening reception everyone, including large athletic men, donned frilly aprons from EllynAnne’s community basket of aprons. The exhibition, while in Jackson, drew attention from media throughout the region and was nationally recognized in the New York Times.

Our annual fundraising luncheon was a huge success, thanks to your dynamic charisma, fun and enthusiastic presentation of your apron program. As a result of your appearance and book sales, we made $7,200.00. Please hurry back to Macon!

EllynAnne’s presentation at our state convention was a huge hit. The audience adored her and was very enthusiastic about the apron display that she brought with her. To anyone considering “the Apron Lady” as a presenter, we give our wholehearted endorsement.

Your presentation was entertaining, informative and chock-full of great marketing advice. We’d love to have you return to speak again.

Your way of gathering stories helped us to look at humble items as a way to talk with ourselves, talk with our consumers and to learn to really listen. Stories that would be lost are now out of the apron drawer and honored for their truth, thanks to EllynAnne Geisel. We are happy for anyone to contact us about the exhibit Apron Chronicles and EllynAnne.

The apron note cards arrived today…thank you for sending them so promptly! I love them!! I’m sure I’ll be ordering from you again soon. And thank you, too, for the signed bookplates…I’ve already stuck mine in my “Apron Book”, and I’ll give the other to my Mom this week to stick inside her copyJ She’ll get a kick out of that! AND I’m so excited about the new book you have coming out next spring…I’ll definitely be waiting in line to buy it!
Have a wonderful day…
Thank you so much for the quick delivery of the Erin apron. It’s beautiful, right down to the packaging. I will certainly be passing your website on to family and friends!
Aubrie-Ann Jones, Brooklyn, NY
I am so pleased with your promptness and attention to my order!
The notecards are darling and I’ve had a number of friends comment on how cute they were. I used them as invitations to my bunco get-together in a few weeks. I’m decorating for the event using your books and am giving your aprons as prizes.
I love using the apron theme because aprons take us back to a simpler era. Thank you so much for everything,
I received the Mary apron today and it is perfect – thank you. You knew just what
Smoochie is SUPER CUTE and I love the lips pocket and all the different lips! It’s so adorable and very unique.
I really appreciate the packaging too, very thoughtful.
Thanks so much!

The Mama Mia apron has arrived – My S.O. brought it home after work! It’s just as lovely as I thought it would be. Thank you for the thank you card! We like the way you added a personal touch to it all!
OMG!! Mary is beautiful! I love that the card says the apron may be too pretty to wear to bake a pie – I was thinking the same thing!
Can’t wait to get into the kitchen…
I received the order yesterday and could not be more pleased. We are getting ready to paint our adjoining open kitchen & family room, and we’re looking for what we’re calling marigold – a yellowy orange, orangey-yellow. Anyway, we could take the yellow Deni to the paint store and have them match it – I love the color and know Claudia will, too. Caroline’s recent sixth birthday was a Victorian tea party – that her apron and Louisa’s came in teacups will just be the icing on the cake for them (in addition to having their OWN aprons, just like Mom). The packaging and presentation of the aprons is absolutely charming. I could not be happier about these gifts!
I’m not sure as the husband/dad that I’ve ever looked so forward to Mother’s Day.
Thank you so much!
The Deni apron came on Friday just in time for our retreat…it is so beautiful! Thank you so very much for a lovely reminder of the past. I will truly enjoy wearing it!
Boy did you ever come through for me. I needed a hostess gift in a most unusual situation–Seder (Passover) dinner with the parents of my daughter’s live-in boy friend. A box of candy? Too trite. A bottle of wine? Argh, these people are wine connoisseurs. Well, you came through with this delightful, colorful, themed apron delivered pronto for my last minute dilemma.
Within seconds, the hostess had it on. An hour later, the host came to fill the wine glasses…wearing the apron. What a hit, what a save!
You and your aprons? The best!
Oh my goodness EllynAnne.. .I ADORE my Karen apron. I have it on now and I can’t wait to show it off. I want to wear it all the time…I am in Los Angeles and it is raining today. However, I feel warm, happy and as cute as can be in my new Karen. Ill be ordering more
from you. I also love the book “Apron Chronicles”. I will start reading it this week-end.
Thanks again EllynAnne…Love and happy aprons…
Los Angeles, CA
EllynAnne — You were so terrific to send my order out in the middle of a blizzard. It arrived in time to give to my sister for Christmas.
I’m so happy that your passion in life is being recognized and appreciated. I am inspired by your journey.
It was sooo good to talk with you. You are the most wonderful person!!!
The Mary apron is a perfect choice and your packaging is so unique and so beautiful. Thank you again!
The Apron Book is one of the prettiest books I’ve ever seen, and I applaud you heartily!
My mom, Joan Waddington, gave me one of your aprons (Karen), your book and a package of notecards for Christmas. I love them all! I wore the apron for the first time tonight while I whipped up a loaf of banana bread, and it made me feel like mistress of the kitchen! I can’t wait to read your book, which you so graciously signed for me. Thank you so much for helping to bring back the apron – I think “Karen” may be the beginning of a collection for me.
Your story of how you came to write your book was very inspirational to me. I love my career in the public relations/marketing world, but I have always had a desire to write a book, and I hope someday to find a subject that inspires me as much as aprons inspired you!
Happy New Year, and best of luck in 2007!
Maple Grove, MN
I love the book and the apron!
Happy holidays and much success in 2007.
Maple Groves, MN
Your aprons are sheer perfection! I love the fabric, the colors, the attention to detail.
The best thing for me is when I’m wearing one of your creations, how much I look like my grandmother looked forty years ago.
I won’t be happy until I collect them all!
Sandi Trader, Logan
This whole apron thing is just plain fun! Thanks for being so accommodating. The package arrived Monday. Talk about speedy!
Let me know if you’re ever scheduled in the Atlanta area. I would love to meet you.
The book looks terrific – a lovely labor of love! My family loved it.
We’re all so happy you included my dad’s BBQ apron. It brought back warm memories for each of us.
I received the aprons today, and they are just perfect! I know exactly to whom I will give each for Christmas, and I’ve ordered copies of The Apron Book to go with them. I can already tell that my new apron will be a permanent fixture on me — so much livelier than that chef’s apron I used to wear! I cannot imagine being able to sew an apron myself with the style and attention to detail that you have done, but with your book to encourage me, I just might attempt it some day!
Thank you again for all of your personal help with my order.
Grosse Ile, MI
I have ordered aprons from you before and I have even talked to you on the phone! I feel like we’re friends! I absolutely love your aprons! I am an apron collector, both vintage and new! It brings back memories of my Grandmother and my Mother. I can’t wait to see your book! Let me know about ordering it.
Thank you very much.
Alta Loma, CA
I just received my apron today in the mail, and was so pleased with it that I had to write and tell you. I love the pink and cream- it couldn’t have been a more perfect combination for me. The apron itself is beautiful, and I am sure it will be passed on from generation to generation. I can’t wait to order more from you in the future, as I have now found the perfect gift for friends and family.
I think it is important for everyone to know what a great job you do, and how wonderful your product is. It is almost like you can feel the love put into the creation of it… and that is what makes it really special.
Auburn Hills, MI
I must tell you how much all of my apron gift recipients love their aprons! Including the two men who received them at Christmas. Since receiving my first aprons, I reordered 7 to have on hand as birthday and holiday gifts. I love giving them because they are enchanting, useful, beautifully made and memorable. Thank you again for your swift delivery, clever packaging and delightful product line.
New York, N.Y.
The Apron Memories website was the perfect place to gift shop as well as restock my depleted note card supply. The cards are especially delightful and bring back many memories of family, friends, and aprons that have passed through my own life. The quality of the cards’ paper and graphics are exceptional.
The Scarlett bags and aprons were a big hit with everyone. I knew the bags would go over just great, but I was a bit nervous about my daughters’ reaction to the aprons. I wasn’t there when they opened their presents, but according to them the packaging was as lovely as the gifts themselves.
I love all the thoughtful details of my Scarlett handbag, from the pretty fabric and ribbon to the vintage button closure. It has a whimsical, nostalgic feel, and it’s a fun accessory to wear.
Thank you so much for the beautiful apron. My friends love it as much as I do! I am an apron collector, as well as a collector of vintage glassware and china tea cups, pretty much anything vintage. The aprons bring back wonderful memories of my Grandmother, and my Mother. I am looking forward to your Apron Book! I am very happy to have found you in Country Living magazine!
Alta Loma, CA
The Erin apron is absolutely beautiful! And I’m thrilled that the recipe you included for my sister is vegetarian too! I plan on giving it to her next month at a shower I’m throwing for her. I’ll let you know what she thinks of it!
Thanks once again for the prompt and personal service you gave me. I’ll be sure to recommend your site to others.
I want you to know that after reading the article in Country Living Magazine about your aprons I felt as if there was something I had missed out on while growing up…I had missed out on candy in my grandma’s apron pocket…and a handkerchief that automatically came out (unwrinkled) along with the ‘bless you’.
My son is getting married this summer and the idea occurred to me that if I hope to be a proper grandma someday, I will be ready with my own ‘apron memories’ so I ordered my very first apron and I want to thank you, I love it. I don’t know how I ever got along without one!
I ordered a second apron for my future daughter-in-law and am planning on putting my son’s favorite recipes in the pocket for her.
I recently purchased 3 aprons from you and now I would like two Erin aprons for clients who recently became engaged.
Not only are your aprons just the very top of adorable…but you are just so nice to your customers. Thank-you again…the sweet girls will be ecstatic! I’ll be ordering again, soon.
I just opened the Apron Memories box, and whoa! what a delight for the senses!!! Every single detail of the aprons is exquisite and the packaging is so original. From now on, your aprons will be my gifts of choice. My Not So Desperate Housewife cap is a big hit, too! Thank you, EllynAnne, for such original and beautifully crafted products!
Jacksonville Beach, FL
I just received the aprons! They are both absolutely adorable! I will definitely be ordering some more from you soon, and I will hopefully meet you in Dallas at your exhibit opening. Keep up the great work and thank you so much.
Fort Worth, TX
I wanted to tell you how special it was to receive the “Erin” Apron from the Apron Memories collection. It was the perfect gift commemorating my engagement to John Owens, son of your good friend Erin Owens and namesake of the apron!
As I look down the road toward my journey at becoming a wife, future mother, homemaker, and speech-language pathologist, I look forward to embracing the importance of traditions that so many women before me have set. Because the “Erin” Apron represents the lives and memories of the women who so strongly influenced my future mother-in-law’s spirit, I am honored to possess an emblem of such significance.
Thank you again for sending me such a priceless gift.
Hobbs, New Mexico
