Jack Frost and his date, Winter Wonderland, are back. Their return is depressing – I’m just not a snow person. On the upside, the farmlands around here will be in the green come spring, and that’s reason to celebrate. So, I baked a cake.
Sifting the flour is key to a cake’s success, and I happen to have the cheeriest vintage Fifties sifter. Just looking at it brings a smile.
None of the modern utilities bring me joy like this sifter. Imagine if today’s coffeemaker was offered with graphic designs by street artists, like Banksy or Keith Haring. How cool would that be?
The weather outside may be frightful, but we’ve got cake.
Wonderful giveaway coming up Monday!!
