3rd TOOD Giveaway Winner and Pie or Biscuits?

Happy Wednesday, #124 Kathleen!   Via a random number generator, you’ve been selected the third Tie One On Day Giveaway WINNER.

Here’s how Kathleen will be participating in TOODay:

With the rush of life, I constantly check on at couple in their late 80s, bringing them meals. They are a delightful couple who have weathered 67 years of marriage. By making her an apron and filling it with baked goods, it will make their day! Thank you for a wonderful idea!

I love my aprons. It is one thing that I do to keep memories of days gone by. Soon it will be time to bring out the holiday aprons for all to enjoy (and put everyday ones away for awhile).

The generous sponsors of this third giveaway are: 5 green boxes, Heavenly Hostess, CKMedia: SewNews/CME, Andrews McMeel, Colonial Patterns, Susan Marks (author), Simplicity and My Memories.

I thought I’d decided on biscuits and a pot of jam as my Tie One On Day offering, but this flashcard may be influencing me otherwise.

Busy days ahead, but filled with good things. Tie One On Day takes a lot of energy, but the results are so worth it. Thank you for helping to spread the word and love of the day.

  1. Thank you for picking me as a winner. I am so excited and cannot wait to tell the older couple who share my life struggles. This package will be a wonderful gift to use.

  2. As a winner I want to express my joy and excitement. I am a avid reader and currently subscribe to the Creative Machine Embroidery magazine. This magazine has help me conquer many projects using my embroidery/sewing machine with great tips and step by step instructions. The free designs are a wonderful bonus. The Sew News magazine has been a guide for me, even though I have been sewing for over 45 years. It just goes to prove that anyone can improve there sewing techniques to be more efficient and have a professional finish. These magazines are the most valuable tool in my sewing room next to my new Viking sewing machine. To Heavenly Hostess, I am always looking for unique aprons. Your gift of the reversible apron is a great and be receiving much use. I especially like to idea of it being reversible, then one change switch it and still sit at the dinner table with her apron on. To Andrews Mc Neel Publishing, I am looking forward to trying the cast iron cooking recipes. I often wonder how to use them properly and this prize is greatly appreciated. What a great way to introduce me to the 5 Green Boxes website with a gift certificate. I will be exploring your website soon. I have not seen colonial patterns for years. I would purchase them a Woolworth’s. Hand embroidered items are a wonderful gift and useful. The time embroidering is one of many ways I relax. My mother (who passed away one year ago) would always use your patterns on tablecloths, dresser scarfs, and everyday kitchen towels. It gave an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. The book about Betty Crocker will give inspiration to my granddaughters budding interest in cooking. I have always wanted to try the Simplicity sidewinder and now I will have one. It will be so valuable during sewing and embroidery so that I do not have to disturb my projects. I am looking forward to exploring the my memories Facebook and website. This gift will give me a just start on creating my sons military scrapbook and try to make a “life and times” memory book for each of my four children.
To all the sponsors, a special thanks for the wonderful gifts. Know that each and everyone will receive great uses. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
